Fiat Transfer Settlement
How long does it take for fiat transfers to be processed and settled?
Fiat transfers use traditional bank systems and settle based on the rail where the transaction is initiated.
Compliance reviewAll fiat transactions go through transaction monitoring, and some may be subject to compliance review. In such cases, the transfer
stateisreviewing, and timelines depend on the compliance review schedule.
ACH Processing
All ACH transactions initiated on the Cybrid platform are processed as same-day (or high-priority) ACHs in three batches each business day:
- The cutoff time for the first batch is 9:50 AM ET, with funds generally settled by 1:00 PM ET.
- The cutoff time for the second batch is 12:50 PM ET, with funds generally settled by 5:00 PM ET.
- The final cutoff time of the day is 3:50 PM ET, with funds generally settled by 6:00 PM ET.
Transfers initiated after 3:50 PM ET, on weekends, or on US bank holidays are processed on the next business day.
Daylight savingAll times are in Eastern Time (ET) and observe US daylight saving. Account for the transition between EST and EDT when scheduling ACH submissions near a cutoff.
This schedule applies to both ACH debits (deposits to the platform) and ACH credits (withdrawals from the platform) initiated within the platform.
ACH hold periodIf you have not provided a reserve account, a 2-business-day hold applies to ACH pull (funding deposit) transfers.
ACH timing discrepancyACH debit timing in Cybrid may differ from what appears on a customer's external bank statement. External banks (such as Bank of America) may show an "ACH HOLD" or pending debit as soon as the transaction is initiated, even before Cybrid receives or recognizes the ACH file. In Cybrid, the transfer appears (and any administrative hold is applied) only once Cybrid receives the ACH file and the transfer enters a pending or holding state. If the ACH file has not yet settled or matched to a customer account, it does not appear in the Cybrid portal. This discrepancy is usually temporary and resolves once Cybrid processes the ACH file and reflects the transfer.
RTP / FedNow Processing
RTP and FedNow transfers process immediately and continuously, 24/7. This schedule applies to both RTP / FedNow debits (deposits to the platform) and RTP / FedNow credits (withdrawals from the platform).
EFT Processing
EFTs process during business days, from approximately 8 AM to 3:30 PM ET. EFT transactions outside business hours (evenings after 3:30 PM ET or weekends) are not processed until 8 AM ET on the following business day.
This schedule applies to both EFT debits (deposits to the platform) and EFT credits (withdrawals from the platform). EFTs in Canada take T+2 days (approximately two days from initiation). There is no EFT hold period on the Cybrid platform.
Wire Processing
Wires process during business days, from approximately 8 AM to 3:30 PM ET. Wire transactions outside business hours (evenings after 3:30 PM ET or weekends) are not processed until 8 AM ET on the following business day.
This schedule applies to both wire deposits to the platform and wire withdrawals from the
platform. Cybrid does not control wire deposits, as they are initiated by a counterparty bank.
When a wire deposit is sent to Cybrid and the bank picks up the transaction, the transfer
state shows pending while the bank finishes processing. Once the bank completes processing,
the transfer state changes to completed.
