Fiat Transfer Settlement
How long does it take for fiat transfers to be processed and settled?
Fiat transfers use traditional bank systems and settle based on the rail where the transaction is initiated.
All fiat transactions go through a transaction monitoring process, and some may be subjected to compliance review. In such cases, the
stateof the transfer will bereviewing, and the timelines will depend on the compliance review schedules.
ACH Processing
All ACH transactions initiated by our platform are processed as same-day (or high-priority) ACHs in three batches each business day:
- The cutoff time for the first batch is typically 10:30 AM EST, with funds generally settled by 1:00 PM EST.
- The cutoff time for the second batch is typically 2:45 PM EST, with funds generally settled by 5:00 PM EST.
- The final cutoff time of the day is at 4:50 PM EST, with funds generally settled by 6:00 PM EST.
This schedule applies to both ACH debits (deposits to the platform) and ACH credits (withdrawals from the platform) initiated within the platform.
If you have not provided a Reserve to Cybrid, a 2-business-day hold will be applied to ACH pull (funding deposit) transfers.
RTP / FedNow Processing
RTP / FedNow's are processed immediately and continuously, 24/7. This schedule applies to both RTP / FedNow debits (deposits to the platform) and RTP / FedNow credits (withdraws from the platform).
EFT Processing
EFT's are processed during business days, beginning at ~8am eastern, and continuing through to ~3:30pm eastern. EFT transactions occurring outside of business hours, including in the evenings after 3:30pm eastern or on the weekends, will not be processed until 8am eastern on the following business day.
This schedule applies to both EFT debits (deposits to the platform) and EFT credits (withdraws from the platform). EFT's in Canada take T+2 days, which is approximately two days from the time the EFT was initiated. There is no EFT hold period on the Cybrid platform for EFT's.
Wire Processing
Wires are processed during business days, beginning at ~8am eastern, and continuing through to ~3:30pm eastern. Wire transactions occurring outside of business hours, including in the evenings after 3:30pm eastern or on the weekends, will not be processed until 8am eastern on the following business day.
This schedule applies to both Wire deposits to the platform and wire withdrawals from the platform. Note that Cybrid does not control Wire deposits to the platform, as these are initiated by a counterparty bank. When Wire deposits are sent to Cybrid, and our bank has initially picked up the transaction, the transfer state will show pending as the bank finishes processing the Wire deposit. When the bank has finished processing the Wire, the transfer state will show as completed.
